i have been listening to Chad VanGaalen's Diaper Island album lately. this music is amazing. i might post a better picture of this one later, beacuse, hm, the picture is all wonky and stuff. i don't own a scanner so i have to take photos of my art with my horrible, 10 years old camera. it takes awful pictures. i hate it somuch.

"I'm so sorry" finished!

she is finished now! and it only took me like 5 months to do :D but yeah, finally ready. it's a portrait of a young woman, nothing more, nothing less. the painting is REALLY sparkly in person, and the colours are brighter. i used a lot of glitter gel with this one, and when light touches the painting, she sparkles nicely. yeah and it is 70x50cm, so kinda big. acrylic on canvas


now i'm ready to begin a new painting project. i have a new canvas the same size, i just need to figure out what i want to paint next. i'm open for commissions as well, hahahahahahahahahhah ok



and, because i have the cutest kitty in the world, i shall now post a picture.

A busy day at school!

 i brought my camera with me to school and took some pictures!

so, our newest projest at school was to make a blazer in children's size. the size was 122cm and i made this blazer for dear friend's daughter... unfortunately the fabric we got was super boring, so i tried to make it look a bit more interesting.

here's the blazer, without lining and collars unfinished

 

these pockets drove me crazy. they also look pretty ugly... i haven't made pockets like this never before, and now i do know that i hate them :(

tataa! now it's got lining, collars and everything :) looks much better now.

i printed this lovely picture by Louis Wain on the back, and it's got pink lace all over it.

and then, finally.........

this is the finished product! lining is pink and white as you can see. the colours on this photo are WAY off, it shouldn't look like that colour at all. i hope my "client" likes this blazer :) it was fun to make (except for the dreadful pockets -____- )

aaaaand...

i found this fabric at fabric store and man i'm loving it ;__; i have a lot of ideas of what to make out of this... you'll see!

hello!
i though it would be nice if i told something about myself. so here i go:



-my name is Liisa.

-i'm 24 yars old right now.

-i live with my boyfriend, and we have been together for 8 years now.

-i have two cats, Vilma and Ninni. here's a picture:

Ninni's on the left, Vilma is on the right. theyr'e both girls. i love my cats very, very much and that's why i want to share some more photos.

..and me and Ninni (or Pörrö, Fluffy, as i call her). aren't we all so cute!? her fur is so fluffy and soft.



and yeah, my hair colour used to change a lot. now my hair is almost blonde, and i'm sticking with it.

-i am at school, learning dressmaking. i will become a seamstress. beyond art, dressmaking is my passion. i want to become an expert in dressmaking, i love it, everything about it. pattern making, sewing, designing.  i will be posting pictures of the projects i have been doing in and out of school.
